The PH Archipelago

Iloilo is one of my hometowns. My mom was born and raised in this city. Sadly though I didn’t get the chance to explore the beauty of this town. Well, not until we were invited to the Grand Opening of the newest  International hotel in town.

Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo is located at the Megaworld Compound and is situated on what used to be the old airport.

This compound of this part of Iloilo is so modern you would literally feel you’re actually at Mckinley Hill yet with the cleanest surrounding and with the fresh air.

Upon entering the hotel, you will be greeted by their simple and yet classy reception with a warm smile from their receptionist. Checking-in was a breeze and hassle free. The staffs were so courteous and accommodating.

Right after check-in we immediately went and settled in our Double Guest Room. The chill and modern vibe of our room makes us want to take pictures endlessly. But we didn’t go to that as we were so excited to explore the other parts of the hotel.

Starting with their restaurant, of course – The Runway Kitchen. Such a very suitable name for this exact spot or location used to be an airport runway.

Courtyard by Marriott’s Runway Kitchen is everyone’s happy place when craving for great food selections and cozy ambiance. Don’t forget to try their Molo here as you will definitely regret it if you wont.

They’ve got great options for breakfast whether you’re in the mood for American, Italian or simply Filipino, they’ve got you covered.

Right after a great breakfast, if you’re in  the mood for an early morning dip or  maybe a late afternoon swim, their gorgeous pool will really catch your eye.

They also have plenty of cool spots to chill-out while basking in the sun.

On the other hand, if you opt not to take a dip, you may want to explore their Executive Lounge instead, it’s the perfect place to chill and relax if you simply want to enjoy a serene afternoon accompanied with great drinks and pica pica.

It’s huge and the food is also being served here so you don’t have to worry about being hungry.

Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo is just a an hour away from the Guimaras port where you can take a boat from there to go to the Guimaras Island. More of that on my next blog about our Guimaras and Iloilo exploratios experience.
