Boracay is back, and it’s better than ever

With the impeccable stretch of powdery white sand beach, breathtaking sunsets, and lush tropical paradise – Boracay repeatedly takes the top spot for being one of the world’s best beaches as the island remains incredibly picturesque.

After months of quarantine and travel restrictions, Boracay is back and better than ever to welcome back domestic tourists. Boracay stakeholders, hotels and resorts groups, and the local government of Aklan have been working together in ensuring a safe and COVID free environment for travelers.
To help fast-track COVID-19 tests of locals and tourists, Filinvest Development Corp. (FDC) through its subsidiary, Filinvest Hospitality Corp. (FHC) donated a Real-Time PCR System and Applied Biosystem to the Molecular Laboratory of Dr. Rafael S. Tumbokon Memorial Hospital in the province of Aklan.
“We believe that this will help bring tourists back to Boracay. Filinvest Hospitality and Chroma Hospitality, together with the DOT and the Aklan Provincial Government are working hand in hand to help tourists feel safe and have their much–deserved peace of mind when they visit Boracay,” said Francis Gotianun, Senior Vice President of Filinvest Hospitality Corp.

Putting the health and safety of guests as a priority, Chroma Hospitality Inc., the management company of Crimson Hotels and Resorts, introduced its intensified cleaning guidelines to ensure guest safety amid the COVID-19 pandemic with the Culture of Clean Program.
Chroma Hospitality’s Culture of Clean program was created to enhance a safe guest experience and elevated sanitation standards which includes seamless airport pick-up, minimal direct guest-staff interaction, heightened sanitation for rooms and food and beverage.
James Montenegro, Chroma Hospitality’s Country Manager shared that “The past few months have been a testament to the hard work and preparation of the Crimson Resort and Spa, Boracay team to ensure the well-being and safety of guests. With its Culture of Clean program, guests are assured of a secured tropical sanctuary. Boracay tourists can expect the resort’s distinct Filipino hospitality and personalized service in an exclusive tropical playground that’s extraordinary and safety standards-compliant.”

The Aklan local government also issued guidelines for tourists traveling to Boracay and for those who intend to stay for at least one night on the island. Visitors are required to register, attach copies of RT-PCR Negative Result, confirmed booking slip, flight details (if applicable), and proof of identification. After successful processing, guests should keep the Tourist QR Code with them at all times to access services in Boracay Island. For details, visit http://aklan.gov.ph/guide-for-tourists/.
